Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool only needs your gender, date of birth, how you'd rate your health, tobacco use, desired coverage amount and preferred policy term. Name, phone and email are only collected if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates each carrier is quoting for the health rating you selected. Your actual premium is set after the carrier completes underwriting, which might confirm your class, move you to a better one, or adjust it. The quotes here are estimates, not binding price guarantees.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll enter your name, and the application is built from the exact quote you selected. You then continue on the carriers' secure application system. You can save and come back, and you'll sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), manages the application.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier, the coverage amount and your answers. Some carriers can approve qualified applicants instantly; the quotes show whether each product requires an exam, might require one, or doesn't require one.
Is a longer term better?
A term should match when your family would need that money: a mortgage to pay off, children to raise, a business loan to cover. Longer terms cost more each month but hold your rate steady for longer. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year terms side by side.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool doesn't gather contact info, we don't buy or sell visitor data, and all measurement on the site is cookieless. See the privacy page for a full list of what gets collected and by whom.
